How to Order

Many thanks to all of you who have ordered books and other items during our in-store shopping closure. Our homepage now also has a "Donate" button and a link for ordering gift cards. We are checking messages daily on our website, email, telephone, and Facebook and will respond to you as soon as possible. Please leave your name, telephone number, and a detailed message. We are ready to help you!

Books:

If you have an account on our website or would like to open one, we would appreciate your using your account to order books from us. If you order online, you may choose pick-up at the store at no charge, or you may request direct shipment from the warehouse in Roseburg, Oregon to a home address via USPS media or priority mail. Please select prepayment by credit card, as our in-store sales counter is closed for now. We will communicate with you through the website regarding the status of your order, and you may send messages to us through the website as well.

For those who prefer to use another method, we are able to accept orders via email, telephone, or Facebook. Please leave a detailed message providing your name and phone number along with the book title, author, and ISBN, if you have that information. If you need help identifying a book or would like assistance in finding something good to read, we are here to help you.

Films, television series, and music CDs:

We are also accepting orders for films, TV series, and music CDs. You may order via email, telephone, or Facebook. For films and TV series, please let us know the title, and whether you prefer DVD or Blu-ray. For music CDs, please specify the artist and album title. If you need help with your selection, we will be happy to assist you. We can arrange pick-up at the store (at no charge) or shipping to home for DVDs/Blu-ray and CDs via USPS media or priority mail. If none of these options works for you, please let us know and we can make special delivery arrangements.

Gifts, puzzles, games, stationery, and other items:

We are working on plans to provide virtual-shopping assistance for other items in the store. Please contact us via email, telephone, or Facebook with any questions or requests.

To send a book or other item to someone else:

It is easy to send a book to someone else through our website. Simply fill in the person’s name and address in the shipping information section and the book will be sent directly there. For DVDs/Blu-ray, CDs, or other items, please contact us with any shipping requests. We are unable to offer gift wrap for items shipped from the warehouse, but if you would like gift wrap for items you are picking up at the store, please let us know.

Remember that a gift certificate is always a wonderful way to send a special treat to others. Gift certificates have no expiration date. You may request a gift certificate for any amount, and you may arrange to pick it up at the store, or we will mail it to any U.S. address you specify (the postage stamp is on us). A link for purchasing gift certificates online is now available on our homepage, or you may contact us via email, phone, or Facebook. Please let us know your name amnd contact information, the recipient's name, the amount, any special message you would like us to include, and the address to which we should send it if you are not picking it up yourself.

Prepayment:

During our in-store shopping closure, we request prepayment by credit card for all orders. You may prepay for books online. For books ordered by other methods or for other items, please contact us as above to arrange prepayment by telephone. For your security, please do not include credit card information in messages on email, Facebook, or voicemail.

Picking up your order at the store:

We are following protocols specified by the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health regarding cleaning, sanitizing, personal protection, and social distancing. We are sanitizing counters, computer equipment, and other surfaces frequently and will handle books, other items, and bags with sterile gloves. Our book distribution company has posted a notice that they are following these protocols in all their facilities as well.

If you would like to pick up an item at the store, we will be open every Wednesday from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm to deliver books to one customer at a time, first come first served. Please practice social distancing of 6 feet apart when picking up your order. We will put your items in a bag and hand the bag to you at the front door. Our staff will be wearing sterile gloves and masks. We will let you know when your order is due to arrive at the store, and you may pick it up during the next Wednesday 12:00 - 1:00 pm time slot.

If you are not able to get into town to pick up your order, or if our designated time does not work for you, please contact us to make other arrangements.

**If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory illness, please call your healthcare provider and help keep our community healthy by staying home.**

Shipping to home:

For all items, we are able to ship to addresses in the U.S. only.

For online book orders, media mail and priority rates will be calculated online according to the number of books you are requesting. For books ordered by other methods and for all other items, please contact us for our shipping and handling rates.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTED SHIPPING RATE for books, DVDs/Blu-ray, and CDs:

For orders of $50.00 or more (excluding tax and shipping) that qualify for USPS media mail, we will charge a flat rate of $3.00 (media mail only – usually takes 2-5 days within the U.S.).

Frequent Buyer Cards and Gift Certificates:

During our temporary in-store closure, we will not be marking or redeeming frequent buyer cards and are also not able to process gift certificates as part of prepayment. Please keep all your receipts and bring them in with your frequent buyer card when we reopen so that we can bring your card up to date. Gift certificates have no expiration date, so you will be able to use them in the store later on.

Returns:

During our in-store closure, we are suspending limits on return dates for your purchases. If you need to return an item, please ensure that it stays in new condition and bring it in with your receipt when we re-open our doors.

Once again, we are truly grateful for your loyalty and continued support of our store and of all the local businesses in our community. As always, we are committed to providing the best possible service to all of you. This is a time to pull together and to be there for each other.
